Recently Blizzard has, to put it mildly, surprised most with the news that Onyxia is to be reintroduced in patch 3.2.2 as a rejigged 10 and 25 man boss in celebration of their 5th anniversary, complete with a non-combat pet, mini-onyxia mount and updated loot. There are those who consider this a great move with wow gold. The encounter is one of the most oft-experienced and fondly remembered in WoW, being the raid that most cut their teeth on and spawning a number of additions into the WoW player mythos. As always in Warcraft, there is a contrary position: many believe that a simple update of content is lazy and unimaginative, in particular referencing some of the reused models of Ulduar and the entire transcription of Naxxramas to Northrend.

 

Whilst it could be attributed to the haze of nostalgia, the Onyxia encounter certainly sticks in the mind of wow gold of the day for whatever reason. For some, particularly those on the Horde side, it would have been the particularly exhaustive quest line visiting the hardest dungeons of the time (Blackrock Depths, Upper Blackrock Spire) and killing some elite dragon NPCs dotted across the world, or springing Marshal Windsor from prison and revealing the true identity of Lady Prestor in Stormwind. For others, it was purely the sight of a colossal dragon, ensconced in dark, fang-filled lair, that was so imprinted in their brains truly the image of roleplaying games and the fantasy genre. In other words, the Onyxia encounter is the most famous amongst players about wow gold.

 

Bringing it back then could appear to be an act of fan service, and indeed the reason for its reintroduction might suggest this. Marking Blizzard anniversary with such an event seems wholly appropriate, and despite some reservations, the playerbase seems happy with it. Another line of thought is that this might indeed tie up into a new story in WoW, perhaps in relation to the armies of Grim Batol mobilizing or perhaps finally giving us some insight into Deathwing role in Azeroth in the near future.

 

It has, on the other hand, brought back into focus the issue of wow gold of old content in several forms, highlighted especially through this latest expansion. The return of Naxxramas, although new to the vast majority of players, was criticized as a lazy route, with the instance only needing tuning and tweaking to suit a raid of 10 or 25 players at level 80. In addition, in comparison to it is Vanilla WoW sibling, WotLK Naxx was cripplingly easy and, arguably, lost a lot of the nuances and mechanics of the original. Blizzard answer for this was that Naxx was intended always to be an introduction to level 80 raiding, and should be as undaunting as possible for the newer player.
