The first way is to know your class basics. As you've leveled your character, you've probably learned things like which stats are best for your class/spec and what abilities you can spec into that will pack a punch.
The second way is to do research on your spec. Some class specs offer higher DPS outputs than others, depending on whichever patch is now. You can check your class' forums and see what other people have to say about the relationship between spec and DPS. Wow gold Kaufen
The third way is to go after your gear. Now that you know what spec and stats you need, it's time to go after the gear that will boost your DPS even further.
The fourth way is not to underestimate PvP gear. Hardcore raiders tend to shun even epic PvP gear because, for PvE, it simply doesn't compare to the pieces they have to choose between. But for the fresh 80, epic PvP gear is a godsend. It's easy to buy, just go to Wintergrasp or BGs to earn your honor and it offers a big DPS jump from wow powerleveling simple quest or BoE gear. PvP gear can get your DPS high enough to successfully run heroics of 10 mans that will allow you to gradually replace it.
The fifth way is not to be cheap. You really hate to pay 100g for an enchant on a chest-piece you're sure you want to replace, but if you're reasonable certain that you will have a piece of gear for a while before you can get something better its in your best interests to ensure you are doing the best you can with what you have. This means no low level gems in epic gear as well.
