Engineers have always been an interesting group of crafters, having the ability to craft a wide range of items (though often landing them with the better items in their inventory i.e. those that only they are able to use). Other than gun scopes, they have not really been able to do much more with their abilities than create mote extractors and goggles.
With the arrival of Wrath of the Lich King, WOW GOLD however, they have been given hope, with the introduction of a few choice new recipes that will (though probably not massively) change this, and will offer numerous fun new options and bonuses for leveling up Engineering all the way to 450.
Engineers will now be able to craft and implement enchants on their own items to create advanced items only available to themselves - such as parachute cloaks, for example. However, Engineers will not be able to stack regular enchants with the Engineering enchants.
Here are a few examples of what Engineers will gain access to:
Nitro Boosts - Will allow Engineers to add nitro boosts to their shoes for a major speed increase that will last for 5 seconds.
Hand Mounted Pyro Rocket - Will attach a pyro rocket launcher to your gloves which will dish out a 2000-2500 damage proc to any enemy at range. Great fun!
It is more than likely that one of the most popular new sets of schematics is going to be the addition of mechanical mounts, in the form of a hog and a chopper (motorcycle-like machines that will only be available to Engineers). WOW GOLD Additionally, new craftable pets have been introduced, bringing with them more depth to the value of these items which have always gained the most gold for engineers.
On top of this, new schematics will also include things like the Gnomish Army Knife, a multi-purpose spanner, pick, flint, hammer and tinder, micro adjuster and skinning knife, for all professions. As if that isn't enough, the GAK can also be used to resurrect players, having a 30 minute cooldown.
As pointed out at the start of this article, the changes to Engineering are nothing earth-shattering, but so much more fun than previously! |
