WOW GOLD-Core of the Original WoW Team
So I sit here at work and as I often do, my mind wonders here and there, to and fro. Often as I do, I think of the current MMO that I play: World of Warcraft. Now, over the last 2 years that I have paid attention to the actual numbers that Vivendi (and later Activision-Blizzard) have released, concerning their cash flow of World of Warcraft, in 2007, WoW grossed 1.1 Billion US Dollars and profitted 520 Million US Dollars. In 2008, WoW pulled in roughly the same, another 1 Billion Dollars and profitted roughly 500 Million US Dollars. Now, before you say anything else, this is money in their bank accounts, everyone has been paid, all is good in life about wow gold.
The initial development of WoW was roughly 5 years to give us the original "Vanilla WoW". Now, one thing to remember that during this time, much content that was later released as "Content Patches", was essentially finished, but not polished. By polished, that would include models being finished/approved, events scripted/tested, boss loot finalized/approved, storylines & quests (if any) fleshed out/approved. These content patches included to get cheap World of Warcraft Gold.
Now, with the exception of Naxx40, the previous 7 dungeons/raid instances are classified as an "All but finished" when WoW was released to get cheap World of Warcraft Gold. So, excluding Naxx40, that was a HUGE amount of content to be developed during the initial games 5 year cycle. It is important to note that not long after the initital WoW was released, there were two waves of developers leaving Blizzard who were working directly on WoW & the various aspects of the game & content creation about wow gold. Blizzard, when asked about this exodus of developers, commented that the "Core of the original WoW team is very much still here...." |
