New World's delay comes in the midst of multiple other studios delaying games. Certain New World fans and critics are skeptical at this reasoning, referring to a lack of information that has been received about the game, with only brief developer videos holding over fans and explaining the rather complex and ambitious systems in the game. Some users under NDA have hinted at the game being in poor, underdeveloped state currently. This remote work could give them ample time to amend these issues.
